Rovaniemi
When August begins in Finnish Lapland, I begin to feel an autumn sign.
Though there is not it for English, Finnish has the words equal to Japanese “colored leaves”, and it is said with RUSKA. RUSKA of a blueberry opening in the step.
The autumn sky is a whim in Finland. The rainbow that is double after a downpour in the sky.
The nights with the midnight sun are over, and greet night after a long absence. The solar light from the horizon is pinkness such as the salmons.
Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts. After working in several design companies in Japan, moved to Finland for study in 2001. After graduating in industrial design from University of Lapland, set up her own company, Aika Felt Works, in Rovaniemi. Using felt she makes items for daily use and interior decoration.
